About Johann Ludwig Krapf

Rev. Dr. Johann Ludwig Krapf (1810-1881) was the first Protestant missionary to East Africa, and a celebrated linguist. Krapf described himself as “a teacher” and “a book-man,” and we hope that the resources we provide will build on his legacy by equipping pastors in East Africa to carry on the work of Gospel ministry.
